SCHLOSSLICHTSPIELE Light Festival Karlsruhe 2025 (until 14.09)

From 14 August to 14 September 2025, the entire city centre of Karlsruhe will be transformed into a decentralised stage and exhibition space for media art, illuminations and luminous actions as part of the SCHLOSSLICHTSPIELE Light Festival. To mark the 200th anniversary of the KIT Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, artists will focus on the achievements and fields of research of this globally outstanding research institution and university under the motto ‘The Shining Lights of Science’. Using the visual language of projection mapping, the works tell an impressive story of how scientific solutions and findings are constantly evolving into building blocks of our physical and digital world. The SCHLOSSLICHTSPIELE take place on the castle forecourt every evening after dark. The projection mappings start daily at 9.30 pm in August and at 8.30 pm in September; admission is free.
