Wild weeks in the Southern Palatinate (daily until the 31.12)

When the days get shorter in autumn and winter, we look forward to hearty dishes that ‘warm the soul’. Every year, the ‘Wild Weeks’ in the Southern Palatinate attract visitors with delicious and varied dishes that can be enjoyed with a clear conscience. Game is not only delicious, but also probably the most climate-friendly way to enjoy meat.
Twenty-two restaurateurs in the region are participating in the ‘Wild Weeks’ campaign organised by the tourism associations Südliche Weinstrasse e.V., Büro für Tourismus Landau and Südpfalz-Tourismus Landkreis Germersheim e.V., serving game from the Palatinate Forest, the Bienwald and the Rhine floodplains in November and December. Game refers to the edible meat of wild animals that are subject to hunting laws. The aim of Game Weeks is to get locals and visitors to the Southern Palatinate excited about game from local hunts. The campaign is supported by the Germersheim and Southern Wine Route district groups of the Rhineland-Palatinate Hunting Association.
