Palatinate Almond Weeks (until 6 April)
21.02.2026 All day
Where do spring lovers welcome the new year? In the Palatinate, of course! Thanks to the power of the southern sun, nature awakens a good two weeks earlier here on the German Wine Route than elsewhere. Here, in the lee of the Palatinate Forest, temperatures in the vineyards and valleys rise rapidly. And with them, the spirits.
We owe this early start to the most beautiful of all harbingers of spring: the almond blossom. As small and delicate as it is, it is the star of the show. It enchants the romantic landscape from Bockenheim to Schweigen-Rechtenbach with its soft splashes of colour – and us along with it. And let's be honest: isn't pink the most beautiful invitation to spend a few relaxing spring days in the Palatinate?
And there are many ways to experience the blossoming of this pink wonder! See here what there is to discover and experience during the Palatinate Almond Weeks.
