Erfweiler Charcoal Burners' Week

Every year, the Erfweiler Tourist Association invites visitors to Charcoal Burner’s Week at the charcoal kiln site on the outskirts of Erfweiler. The wood is stacked and set alight by a charcoal burner using a specific method and technique, in accordance with an old tradition. The charcoal pile burns day and night throughout the event. During this time, a varied programme of free entertainment is offered at the charcoal pile site, and guests are well catered for throughout. On the final day, the charcoal produced is sold in the morning.
